Formatting in Lightning?
As a feature request, I'd like to see the formatting toolbar added to Lightning. When I create or edit calendar items, there are times when I would like to changing the formatting of the text. Please consider adding that feature to Lightning. Thanks.

Yes, I think so. But that thread was started 20 YEARS ago, and still nothing has happened. It appears that noone is taking this issue seriously!

More likely as an open source project with very limited resources for the last decade most things have remained on a if it's not broke leave it alone footing. It is only in the past couple of years that real progress is getting made on features. Even the integration of the calendar was driven by it going to be broke integrate or forget the calendar basis. Thunderbird's developers are playing catchup for a long period of neglect due to lack of funds and staff. Of course for things to continue to improve folk will have to continue to be generous in their financial contributions. If everyone gave a dollar then Thunderbird would be exceedingly well funded. The reality is the income stream is nothing like that much. So the requests for more keep going out and those that do pay are getting things done for everyone.
