Yahoo email often fails after "checking mail server capabilities" when switching between folders.

Switching between folders using Yahoo IMAP email, under Windows 10 , often fails after it displays "checking mail server capabilities". An error message pops up in a window that says:

"Server imap.mail.yahoo.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down...."

Inbox is never affected. Only the other folders.

I've duplicated the problem on 3 different computers, that were configured from scratch.

There is no pattern that I can find, regarding why it works sometimes, but other times it doesn't.

Any suggestions? Thanks. - Mark

I would suggest logging. The files will be huge and grow exceedingly fast, but it is really the best way to see what is happening at the connection level. https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging

Thanks christ1! I had no idea about that setting. Much appreciated, as this has been a long time problem, finally fixed.
