The posted method doesn't work and is overly complicated. The profile was stored in windows10 as C:\Users\19196\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\yrylq4gh.default-release It was stored in windows 7 as C:\Users\cramer\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\djeo8paf.default What I had to do was copy the windows 7 file and rename it to the windows 10 name and replace that file .

my next project is firefox

It is only a short while until V102 is released with profile import and export. Like all new features it will probably have some issues on introduction.
