My sidebar used to always come up showing "history." Now the default seems to be "bookmarks." I know I can toggle down to "history," but I often forget to do that and click on a bookmark, thinking I was going to my most recent use of that bookmark. Is there a way to set the sidebar just to "history" again?

I believe there was an update to firefox recently and others are having a similar issue.

Try messaging support directly and asking them to fix these issues.

Sorry I couldn't help more. You could always customize toolbar and pin a "history" button on your toolbar and close your sidebar. That way you will be forced to open the correct list and you wont accidentally open bookmarks anymore.

How are you opening the sidebar and do you keep the sidebar open or do you close and reopen it all the time ? If you use the keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+B for the bookmarks and Ctrl+H for the history then this shouldn't be a problem. If you use the sidebar toolbar button then the last used item should reopen if you click this button.

If you open a specific item (bookmarks, history, synced tabs) in the sidebar then this item should stay the same as long as the sidebar is open.
