I can't use any mouse's scroll wheel in Firefox. I've tried multiple mouses and even a trackpad and none of them will scroll. They all work fine elsewhere in the Ubuntu OS, but just not in Firefox. The manual scroll bars work fine and auto scroll works fine. I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode with all extensions and add ons disabled, but that didn't work. I tried turning off the hardware acceleration in Firefox settings and that didn't help either. Any suggestions before I switch browsers?

hii john.mcclung22,

Click the menu button and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux). Select the General panel. Under Performance, uncheck Use recommended performance settings. Additional settings will be displayed. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available. Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists. Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thanks for the suggestion, but this did not resolve my issue.

Interesting... Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla, run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

That also didn't work. I should also mention that I'm using Microsoft Remote Desktop to access my Ubuntu computer using the built in remote desktop feature in Ubuntu. But everything else scrolls fine, just firefox won't.

Without RDP can you scroll?

Both version of Firefox fail... Try a different RDP client like anydesk.com.
