I can't find option to restore tabs when closing Firefox.
Tabs close when I sign out. I can't find the option to Restore tabs when closing out

In Settings, click the General tab on the left, then on the right it's the first option under Startup:
"Open previous windows and tabs" - Check the box beside that.
My settings showed that I had restore all tabs. However, I closed the Mac and restarted and no tabs were there. I've reloaded Firefox. Do I need Firefox to send me a copy to load OR should I be looking for help from Apple/Mac? Very frustrated. Thanks
Note that on Mac closing Firefox can be more complicated because you can close all open windows, but keep Firefox running with the menu bar visible or minimized in the Doc.
Make sure to use "Quit Firefox" with all windows still open, especially if you want to use "Restore Previous Session". Otherwise check "History -> Restore Previous Session" and "History -> Recently Closed Tabs/Windows".
Modified
The last message said to go to History and view Restore Previous. History only gives me emails that have come to me this morning. Nothing else. Your suggestions sound great, but they're not available today.
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".
- do not clear the "Browsing history"
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
[X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
I don't clear anything. I've either been scammed or Firefox is not working for me at this time. I would like Mozilla to send me the latest version of Firefox so may it would work since my copies aren't working. d
I assume that you do not get a sessionstore.jsonlz4 in the profile folder (top level)? Are files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder getting updated?
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
You will normally find these files in the sessionstore-backups folder:
- previous.jsonlz4 (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.jsonlz4 from previous session that was loaded successfully)
- recovery.jsonlz4 (latest version of sessionstore.jsonlz4 written during runtime)
- recovery.baklz4 (previous version of sessionstore.jsonlz4 written during runtime)
- upgrade.jsonlz4-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)
You can look at this tool to inspect a compressed jsonlz4 sessionstore file. This tool works locally, no uploading done.
Maybe this will help solve my problem. I was reading Gmail emails, and I was disconnected. Foxfire asked for a description of the issue in the apology window and it would be forwarded before I restarted. I did that and restarted, and ALL my tabs returned. I didn't get the tabs from last night when signed in this morning. Does this give you any more info? D
