Shortcuts disappearing
Hi, my shortcuts have all disappeared. I've looked on the browser.newtabpage.pinned and all of my saved websites are listed there. But when I open a new tab they're all blank and I can't seem to add any new shortcuts either. (Also I'm not good with technology so if you do have a suggestion on how I can fix this please tell me exactly where I need to type in a command or whatever because I didn't realise I could do that until just now.) All my bookmarks are still there and obviously it remembers my saved sites so? Thanks :•)

Log out of your sync account to avoid interference or change services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.newtabpage.pinned to false in about:config to stop syncing the new tab shortcuts.
Visit about:support in the address bar and click the "Clear startup cache" button on the right side, then restart the browser.
Hi maybe I did these wrong but they didn't work. I also tried refreshing my firefox and that didn't seem to do it either. I also turned shortcuts off and turned them back on but no luck. Do I just adapt to my new life of typing in my websites? (Oh also my newtabpage.pinned shows youtube, which is the only one I've tried to add back (which never works) but the shortcut still doesn't appear. Weird.)
You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Hey everyone, thank you for your answers. I actually just opened Firefox today and suddenly there were a bunch of shortcuts (random sites that I don't use) but I can put them in now! Yay! All my history also seems to have been deleted but oh well. I hope everyone has a nice day :•)
You can see if you have multiple profiles by visiting about:profiles in the address bar.
