When I start Thunderbird I get the error message: "Login to server imap-mail.outlook.com with username mousehold@hotmail.co.uk failed." I have searched the internet and found this Mozilla support page, which seems to describe my problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202

However, I am unable to complete the solution offered, as Thunderbird (version 128.1.0esr (32-bit)) does not have the 'OAuth2' as an Authentication option for the Outgoing Server (SMTP) settings, as described on the support page...?

Chosen solution

Use the server described in the article - smtp.office365.com. OAuth2 isn't available for smtp-mail.outlook.com.

Also, use outlook.office365.com, 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2, email address, for the incoming.

Thankyou, I hadn't realised that the specific server address was required, it's now working :)
