Often I can't access content indicated by a link in an article or email. I tried turning off the Firefox firewall, but it made no difference. Now I am unable to turn the firewall back on.

An example is a message from votesmart.org intended to provide resources showing where they got information to corroborate or contradict statements made by the 2 presidential candidates during their debate. The reader could click on highlighted text to access documents with this information. When I click on the highlighted text a message pops up saying the site can't be accessed (I don't recall the exact wording).

My OS is macOS Monterey(MacBook Pro version 12.7.6)
