my tabs are incomplete after update

After the last update, my tabs no longer have the X to close the tab, and the "new" tab piece is much thinner and almost entirely gone.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Are you using the default theme?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
