Firefox runs my battery life by 45mins and takes up 20% of my CPU usage. I was wondering if there was a way to length battery life?

There are some great Firefox Addons to help you with this. They require a little know-how though.

1. Install Adblock Plus. There is an ethical problem in that you are denying websites their income... but if they allow flash ads which drain your battery and make your lap hot, why pay them?

2. Install flashblock. This blocks ALL flash content, ads or otherwise. You can re-enable the flash for individual websites, or for specific content.

3. Install NoScript. This will stop annoying javascript from running and draining your battery. This is potentially the most complex one, because lots of sites rely on javascript. You need to know how and when to re-enable javascript. Again, you can do this per site, or per domain.

If you install these addons, it will stop badly designed webpages sucking your battery dry!

Hope this helps.
