The video screen (and its controls) doesn't display. All the other parts of the screen display correctly.

Adobe Reader was down level and when I tried to upgrade - it said I needed an updated gp.xpi. Did that - upgraded reader, restarted Firefox and still no change in Youtube.com. I am running XP - so your system is a different config. Thanks for your suggestions - but seems like it is a problem in latest Firefox as this is a recent problem. My firefox.exe has a 3/8/11 date.

Yep, looks that way to me, too. There's (right this second) 147 folks on this thread: ->https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/789534 and 504 on this thread: ->https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/776670?page=2#answer-143849, not counting our 7 on this one (my screen's white, too). There's indications that it's a Google/Adobe thing, or a Google/YouTube thing. (That one's after linking Goggle Acct with YouTube.

And yes, it was still messed up in Safe Mode.

My take on it is to removing/disallowing cookie setting on YouTube for now, till whoever finally gets it fixed.

I hope they'll send a email telling all of us when it's fixed. Heaven knows they have our addresses...

OOPS--and another 93on this thread: ->https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/789443 And 117 on this one:->https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/789576

Thanks for the update. I missed those other threads when I looked before I submitted my problem. Hopefully Firefox is watching these threads.

I don't see how to change the cookie setting on YouTube, do you know?

...from another of my posts...Also, prevent You Tube from setting more cookies with: Tools>Options>Privacy>Exceptions and enter www.youtube.com.

As many threads as I've found concerning this youtube catastrophe, one would think the Mods would link 'em all together. I found a couple more after my last post. They're all 'headlined' (sorry), 'tagged' differently, but they're all connected. I found this solution@ letheaqua near the top, and @poopipants reply 3/4 of the way down on page 2 , here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/776670?page=2#answer-143849

This one, of all I tried (or was unwilling to try, i.e., 'Disable Hardware Acceleration') is the one that worked for me. And it's fine if you don't NEED to log in...

Good luck!
