After upgrade to Firefox 4, text displayed on my high resolution LCD (but not my medium res laptop) is either larger by a pt., or the kerning has expanded.
Problem only occurred after upgrading from Firefox 3.6 to 4. I also upgraded from IE 8 to IE 9, but the problem does not occur with IE.
On my website I use Times New Roman, 11 pt. in multiple text boxes on each page, as well as navigation buttons. They display fine on earlier versions of FF, IE and Chrome. Now on FF 4 (and only on FF 4), the text appears to have expanded, either from the size increasing to 12 pt. or else the kerning has expanded. It is most noticeable when I use my high res. monitor at 1980 x 1280. On my laptop, using med. res. of 1280 x 800, it is only slightly noticeable.
I have screen captures that I will post in a reply to my own message.
Thanks.
Peter

Here are three annotated screen captures of the same web page, the home page on my website. The medium resolution screen capture is from my HP laptop with a 15" LCD at 1280 x 800 using FF4, the high resolution screen capture is from my HP desktop on a 22" LCD at 1920 x 1280 using FF4, and the high res screen cap is using IE9. On each one I point to the same two areas to demonstrate the difference.
