I just paid for tech support through Firefox and it did not work. How do I get back to the technician without paying twice?

Something called Plasmoo.com is attached to Firefox 4. It cannot be removed and I can't uninstall Firefox. I followed the tech support advice.

When I tried to delete Firefox, it told me that I needed permission from myself to change the folder. I am assigned as the administrator and it will still not let me change it, regardless of whether I click "skip" or "continue" from the pop up window.

In what way is the file attached to Firefox?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

I have done all of that through assistance by McAfee. They checked my laptop remotely twice. No viruses. They said it was a search engine (Firefox) issue, and left it up to me to check with Firefox tech support. I got instructions from the tech support a short time ago.

click start type %appdata% hit enter double click Mozilla delete Firefox

When I tried this, I was told that I required permission from myself (and I am the administrator) to change the folder. There were two options, click "continue" or click "skip". I tried both, and neither would let me continue, even though I am the administrator.
