I have Windows 7, 32 bit. My laptop has 2 GB RAM and an Core 2 Duo processor.

I was getting on fine with the last version of Firefox, but after upgrading to Firefox 4 today, my laptop's fan comes on just about every time I load a new page or open a new tab. Memory usage seems very high compared to what it was before, it's at around 250 MB right now with just two tabs open. I am thinking of going back to an older version, I'm just not happy about this.

Hi! Firefox 4 has introduced new technologies for rendering web pages, also by using your computer's graphics card. Please uncheck the hardware acceleration from the options menu and try again to launch firefox.
