I usually get 2 warnings Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/modules/NetworkPrioritizer.jsm:175 and Script: chrome://saff/content/saffplg.js:500. I assume there is some programme which is causing a conflict with Mozilla when I try and start firefox. Any ideas as to which programme to disable? and if so how do I remove the offending script.

many thanks

Edmeister,

You are a star! Followed your link, which referred to the fact that the script was from McAffee. I have uninstalled the McAffee site advisor, and that has solved the problem. many thanks
