I have made folders for saving bookmarks in on my bookmark toolbar. Several times I have saved links to the folders. I click on them to be sure they work and they are there and work. After closing Firefox and then reopening, the bookmarks are no longer there. I have tried several times to save them and each time they are gone when I reopen Firefox.

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that.
