I would love to upgrade to version 4, but none of the plugins that I rely on heavily have upgraded and just didn't work when I went to version 4. Any sense when this might happen or what I need to do to find out? The plugins in particluar are:

Colorzilla, Firebug

Others are:

Web Developer, SEO for Firefox, SEO Toolbar, Page Speed, KeepTube downloader

Thanks much in advance, Karen

Check this page for extension compatibility:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/compatibility/report

Firebug and Web Developer are already compatible with Firefox 5.0 (which is in Beta now), so they will work in Firefox 4.0.1. Colorzilla is compatible with Firefox 4.0.*

The others I didn't see listed there, you'll have to check them out yourself. If you right-click an installed extension, you can use the Visit Home Page to get to the developers homepage for that extension - if the developer made use of that feature. In Firefox 4+ versions, that information is in the More... information for each extension.

IMO, if an extension hasn't been updated for Firefox 4 as of now, you should consider it "dead" and look for an alternative extension with the features you need. We are like 1 month away from Firefox 5.0 being released, and Firefox 4 becoming an "older version".
