  • Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Thanks for that, now I need to find out where firefox stores these login details, I never entered this password into any firefox page, if it can find this password then who knows what else it can be recording.......scary.

Firefox only stores a name and password after you have confirmed this.
If you didn't do that then that data is most likely saved as form data.

You can remove already saved form data via Clear Recent History.
