I post here in the Firefox Help Forum and about a week ago I stopped receiving notification e-mails for updates to threads that I'm subscribed to.

Is there some setting I have to enable in my account profile in order to receive notifications? I tried changing my e-mail address in my Mozilla account to my primary Windows Live Hotmail address and received the confirmation e-mail for the change from notifications@support.mozilla.com (which I confirmed via the provided link). I then resubscribed to the thread I'm currently posting in by clicking the "Get e-mail updates" link but I'm still not receiving notifications about new posts in the thread.

I checked my Junk and Spam folders and blocked senders list in my Windows Live Hotmail account and the notifications aren't getting stuck there.

I'd like to contact Mozilla Customer Support by e-mail but the Contact Us link just routes me back to the Firefox Support home page at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/home.

Partial success.

Since changing my default e-mail address in my account profile, I've started receiving update notifications in my Windows Live Hotmail inbox for new threads that I've subscribed to since changing the e-mail address.

However, I'm still not receiving updates for threads I subscribed to before I changed my default e-mail address (e.g., https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/861953?page=2).

I don't know why this is happening, since the old e-mail address I was using in my account profile was simply an alias for my "real" Windows Live Hotmail address and messages should be delivered to inbox of the same Hotmail account. I am still using this "alias" e-mail address on several other forums without a problem.

I suppose the next step is to unsubscribe from my older posts and then re-subscribe to see if the notifications on those threads start up as well.

Success (sort of).

I unsubscribed and then re-subscribed to one of the older threads I'm trying to follow, and I finally received an e-mail notification about an update in my Windows Live Hotmail account.

So changing my default e-mail address in my account profile eventually worked, but I still don't know what caused the problem in the first place.
