The search box (?) on the top right hand side of my screen used to have google in there, so whenever I did a search, it used google as the default. A few clicks ago, it changed to wikipedia .. I wasn't aware of creating this .. now if I type a search word in there, I get the wikipedia page, which is not at all what I want. How can I change it back to google?

In my reply, I said "Click on the icon on the left end of the Search Bar...". Do not click in the Search Bar box until you have changed the selected search engine

Thanks for your clarification. At the left hand end of my search bar are: (reading from the left) the back and forward arrows, then the long box which allows me to type in a known web address ... at the end of that box is a star, a down arrow and what looks like a refresh circular arrow. Then a 'trustee rapport' button. Then the search box. Then a Home button and that's right along the bar at the right hand side now. So... I don't know which 'icon at the left hand side' you are referring to. I've tried to add a screenshot to this reply which might have been helpful, but the system isn't allowing me to upload

Thank you. That's sorted. I thought I had tried this and it hadn't worked ... ? Maybe I was just inaccurate with the cursor and then didn't try again, was trying right clicking and all sorts, getting carried away. Thanks for your patience and persistence.
