There is no text editor when typing a description of items I'm selling on ebay with Firefox but there is a text editor (toolbar) using IE. Can firefox fix this or offer an add on for ebay sellers?

Chosen solution

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed. Maybe eBay can't figure out that you're using Firefox 3.6.23.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.
Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
Then restart Firefox

Thank you, that did it! I was beginning to think FF was letting me down....all the googling I could find on the subject seemed outdated but nevertheless down on FF because of that problem others had too. No one had the answer. I am also having an issue whereby XP cannot see (read) the SATA HD I have in a Addonics external enclosure so that I can copy (clone) my internal C drive using open source freeware. Never had that problem before. Is it possible that's also a related FF issue I can fix as easily? Thanks again.
