It used to be if I typed Google or verizon or bestbuy into the url address field, I would go to Google.com or verizon.com or bestbuy.com. Now it goes to a Yahoo! search results page so I have to click on the result there or type in the www.google.com in the address field. I have checked add-ins and the Control Panel for Yahoo! toolbar but it is not installed.

That was one of the most desirable benefits of FireFox. How do I get it back?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Check the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
