Every time I open, all my previous tabs come up. I can not stop this and the place to check doesn't allow it. How do I stop them, it is annoying.

All the previous tabs continually come up. In the tools-options- there is a box to check, but it won't work. Is there another way to stop the restore .

Did you check the startup setting?

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my home page" "Show a blank page"

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
