The background of the 1st toolbar (Firefox) is transparent with a mottled black/brown background. The 2nd tool bar (File/edit...tools) and part of the tab area is also mottled black/brown background. This occurred after a firefox update.

Try to disable transparency in Windows, see:

Right click in a free space on your desktop.
Left click on Personalization.
There are four options in Windows 7 at the bottom of the screen, choose "Window Color and Appearance".
Select a border color
Uncheck: "Enable transparency"
