Tried to update to 9.0.1 for mac. Upon installing i get this: "A newer item named "Firefox" already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with the older one you're moving?"

When I tell it to replace, I get this:" The operation can’t be completed because the item “libsmime3.dylib” is in use."

Attempted multiple times. Firefox icon changed to generic program icon in dock and application folder. Firefox no longer works, period.

Try to drag the old Firefox version to the trash to see if that allows to install the new version.
