After an Upgrade, text highlighting is extremely lighter than before.
After a scheduled upgrade in 2011 of Firefox for a hospice software company, mumms, the highlighting of text within their software became extremely lighter, much lighter than prior to the upgrade and is difficult to see. The highlighting on text is very difficult to see. the text is normal. The software company first told our hospice company that it was a function of our computers, both in our main office and in my fellow employees homes. Now that company says it is a function of Firefox and won't do anything about it. How do we in our company that use that software darken the highlighting of text when we want to change or remove certain text. The software company is: http://mumms.com/

Does it help if you choose another Windows theme?
Such default settings are usually acquired from the theme that is used on the computer, so selecting a different theme might help.

Upgrade your browser to Firefox 9 and check
I can only upgrade when my software company says to and not at my discretion. It is under their control since the system we use is based in Firefox but linked to them directly through our PC's and home office.

I tried severaal changes due to your answer but it did not help. I will ultimately ask our company's software company to initiate another upgrade to attempt to at least change this problem.
