Just updated Firefox and now getting message that protocol (mail) isn't associated with any program, but it is associated with Thunderbird. How can I fix this?

Just installed Firefox 12.0. attempt to send email to link produced "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (mail) isn't associated with any program"

Went to Tools>Options>Mailto and it is indicating Tbird which is the default mail app. What can I do to repair this issue?

Hello ridgemore,

I have unfortunately not found any fix to your issue, but I think that it might be due to corruption during the upgrade process. You should try reinstalling Firefox and see if the problem still occurs.

Thank you for your patience and please let me know how it works out.
