I'm trying to get rid of 22find, but all the options I find in support won't help me cause they all go by using the add-ons feature that opens in a new tab. The problem remains because when the new tab opens, what comes up is the 22find homepage, not letting me use the add-ons of Mozilla. Basically, 22find is preventing me to access any of Mozilla options that would allow me to erase it from my computer. I simply cannot find any trace of 22find anywhere because all the options that would take me there end up on 22find homepage. It seems that 22find developers are making a real effort to fight of any effort of Mozilla developers to keep them out of the browser and so far they seem to be successful. Is there any new solution to my problem?

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Do you see this 22find site if you search on the about:config page?

Try to reset some preferences to the default with the SearchReset extension:

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
