I can't use any add-ons, themes, etc. All of them cause my nav bar to turn red and say I haven't enough data for that site. I'm afraid a virus will creep in if I use any add-ons. What fun is a browser that you can personalize. I know I have beta, but even reg FF was doing this. I have win xp and can't update just yet. I'm not sure what else I can do. I had to begin FF all over again with new data, just to get rid of the add-ons and red nav bar. Are you going to fix this? It's not just one add-on it's all of them.

This can be a problem with the theme that you are using (possibly red cats).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

The problem is this happens with ALLadd-ons not just red cats. I tried another complete theme, and it still showed the red nav bar. I'd have to get another add on in order to show an screen shot and I don't know how to get it out of safe mode. this only happens when I use add ons''

See [/questions/961506]

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

OK, I'll give it a try
