I deleted bookmarks today by mistake and was hoping to recover them. To this end, I was looking at the instructions on how to find my profile. When I selected bookmarkbackups it shows folders that are not able to be opened with any application I have, and when I select places.sqlite I get a preview folder, which I am unable to open with any application I have. So I have two questions 1. Can I ever recover deleted bookmarks, and 2. how can I open the folder to show my history and bookmarks?

hello jmmahon, the files within the \bookmarkbackups folder that you've referenced should contain the necessary content in order to restore your bookmarks.

this article explains how it can be done: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
