Since upgrading to version 22 of Firefox in Mac AND Windows the text entry box for selecting files to upload has disappeared, and Firefox no longer shows the full path of the uploaded file...this is within Zencart, and again this happens in both the Mac and Windows versions of Firefox22. hello mikefellh, this has been an intentional change that has landed in firefox 22. for details see the meta bug #838675 (please don't post in bug reports).

This feature is annoying as hell. No longer can we drag & drop from File Explorer into the file upload form.

And the reason for this feature? there was no bug, there was no security issue, just "The goal of this bug is reaching other vendors quality".

Firefox is better than this - you guys have literally prioritised form over functionality and in the process frustrated advanced users of FF - shame on you.

Why are you wasting developer time attempting to match the look and feel of competing browsers - there's a heap of other productive work for your developers to be directed toward.

hello glenn, we are a primarily user-run support forum here, so it's probably not the right place to direct such concerns to. we're neither responsible for the implementation of such features nor are we in a position to change or influence them (devs won't read here).

please either use https://input.mozilla.org/feedback for general feedback which will be monitored by mozilla's staff or if you feel that some features might be broken by the change, file a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org.
