My old iMac died. The OS was 10.5.8. I removed the internal HD and it needs to transfer to the new system under 10.8.4. I have been trying to locate my old bookmarks from the HD that was taken out from the old iMac but not successful. Please show me step-by-step procedure to locate the bookmarks and transfer them to the current FireFox that has been installed in new iMac, running 10.8.4.

MacOS X places your Firefox settings folder (your profile folder) in a hidden folder. For assistance in locating it, check out this thread: How can I import my bookmarks from an old version of firefox.

Can you unhide the folder and find your bookmarkbackups folder?

Once you have that folder, check out this article: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.
