I have lost the firefox homepage and bookmarks icons. How do I get them back
For several days I have not been able to access bookmarks which were not showing along the top of the firefox page. The firefox homepage house icon has also disappeared and I can't get out of the last page visited. I have also lost the firefox dropdown options. How can I get them all back? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the programme with no success.

Are you using Firefox Sync to keep your bookmarks and settings on the cloud? If so, make sure it's configured and working. If not, you may have lost or damaged your profile, and may not be able to recover them back. In that case, restoring profile backups if any will solve your problem.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
- Firefox menu button > Options
- View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
- Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
- check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.
