Why can't I update Shockwave Flash & Java to their latest version?

I use FIREFOX 27. I have tried update and I have uninstalled/installed each twice with no success. The FIREFOX detail says that I have the latest of each installed but the plug-in check repeatedly says that they are vulnerable and need updating.

It's not a real problem, just a glitch

Firefox's plugin check (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/) thinks java needs updating but java site confirms java is up-to-date and working properly
