When using unified folders, the top level junk folder shows a count of 350, even though there may be no spam in any of the accounts. How do I clear this number?
I have gone through all the settings. I've removed and re-created mail accounts. I've restarted Thunderbird. I've rebooted the macbook. Disabled all plug-ins and add-ons. Nothing gets rid of this erroneous count. This is what it looks like (sorta): Inbox Drafts Sent Junk (350)
account1 (1) account2 account3
etc.... Any help or sympathy appreciated. Linda

You could try rebuilding the Junk folder: select Help/Troubleshooting Information, Show Folder to open the profile folder in Explorer, exit TB, look for the files Junk and Junk.msf (mbox file and index file), rename them or move them out of the profile folder, restart TB and see if a clean Junk folder is created after you mark the first message as Junk:

What happens if you select View(or AppMenu)/Folders/All, then right-click(Cmd-click) each Junk folder, Compact?
Tried emptying and compacting all junk folders with no results. As soon as I return to viewing unified folders, it's there. This is destroying my sense of order. ;-)
