Thunderbird 24.4.0, Mac OS10.7.5, pop3 mail server

The mail server apparently is getting my password correctly since I can get and send email, yet it keeps sending an alert that says: "sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.frontiernet.net responded: [AUTH] (#MBR1213). Please verify your account by going to https://login.yahoo.com."

How do I fix this?

Thanks,

John

Go to the yahoo site mentioned and put in your credentials. Your ISP like many have subcontracted email to yahoo. Unfortunately Yahoo are not competent at anything but web mail. Otherwise complain to your provider that you do not like their service and ask what you can do to have service resumed without visiting Yahoo.
