Beginning yesterday, I have not been able to open a new tab. When I click the + button on the tab bar nothing happens. When I press Ctrl + T nothing happens.

Try uninstalling ans reinstalling Firefox . If not try using with multiple windows or check changing settings in Settings menu in Tabs column.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
