Having downloaded the FF 29.0.1, I just did the restart. I haven't played with it at all, because the features of the page itself are not acceptable to me. For instance, the tab names are tiny and very low-contrast, the letters thin and hard to read. Also the title of the page in the current tab used to appear in LARGE (relatively) letters in the horizontal space above the tabs; that light-grey space was taller (vertically, thus, broader) than the new one, and there was a horizontal black line separating the title of the current page from the row of tabs beneath it, very clean, very easy to recognize both the tabs and the title; this feature was extremely important to the way I work, not to mention to my eyesight, and is now gone.

The machine is a MacBook Pro, 17", released 2012 (I think). I'm running OS 10.6.8.

All I want to do is uninstall this latest version and reinstall the last version of Firefox 28.x.x.

Thank you.

This worked fine, 3 months ago. But now I see that this machine (same MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.8) has somehow acquired FF 31. The "install old version" link is now changed to install FF 30.

I want v. 28 back. And I don't want to be bothered with constantly having to say "No I don't want to update." I want Ff to give me v.28 and leave me alone! Please! I promise to try new versions periodically to see if they've gotten any better!

I love FF, at least up through v.28. Please, how do I get it back?

Thanks,

Julie
