MOVING MAILS FROM THUNDERBIRD WINDOWS TO THUNDERBIRD UBUNTU

I HAVE SORTED 3000 MAILS IN A TREE STRUCTURE. WHEN EXPORTING THE ROOT FOLDER WITH IMPORT EXPORT TOOLS (FOLDERS AND SUBFOLDERS WITH HIERACHY) TO A DIRECTORY IN THE WINDOWS FILESYSTEM I CAN SEE THE TREE STRUCTURE. SO FAR - OK. IMPORTING THIS ROOT DIRECTORY TO SUNDERBIRD ON UBUNTU WITH IMPORT EXPORT TOOLS (IMPORT MBOX FILES AND IMPORT ONE ORE MORE MBOX FILES WITH SUBFOLDERS) THE STRUCTURE HAS GONE - ALL FOLDERS APPEAR ON THE ROOT LEVEL - WHAT DID I WRONG ?

Did you read the help page (user manual) for ImportExport Tools? Since it says that exporting folders in a tree structure 'has some bugs and doesn't work well', why did you do it? I've never used the extension myself but from reading the page I get the impression that it works best when exporting and importing one folder at a time -- why don't you try that?
