Why is Firefox not opening an old session in "restore" option?

When I go to the "History" option, then "Show all history" and then "Restore" to a previous session from either yesterday or even a few days/weeks ago (and agree to all my tabs being replaced by that previous session), it doesn't do anything. This option usually works for me and now it doesn't.

I have done hours of searching on how to get this to work and found nothing. More hours of searching other options on how to find previous sessions with .js files and get to a point in the instructions where I am lost and I understand absolutely nothing anymore.

- I have important tabs that need restoring asap!!

Can someone help please?

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

I don't want to delete my backups surely, otherwise I won't be able to restore a session from a couple days ago or from yesterday(?)

Session restore will only restore the last session.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for 'session.'
