SMTP not shown in "saved logins" for my verizon mail. Sent messages do not download in Thunderbird. I deleted the account to update password and now it's gone.
Hello, I just went to update my Verizon email password in Thunderbird. Your instructions said to delete the account under "Saved Logins". I deleted both my incoming and outgoing passwords and accounts and followed the instructions to update my password. I was successful for the Verizon "inbox" emails, but the outgoing, "sent" box in Thunderbird does not receive any sent messages. Moreover, that SMTP account is no longer listed under "Saved Logins". The incoming POP account is listed with the new password.
How do I set up Thunderbird to receive my sent messages? I am not referring to the folder on my computer. Rather, the "Sent" inbox in Thunderbird itself.
I am receiving inbox messages in Thunderbird, but not those I send from other email clients that are listed in Thunderbird. How can I add my SMTP server to Thunderbird's "Saved Logins". Thank you for your help.

Hmm, failure to understand the selected protocol it what I see here.
The sent folder as well as all others are synchronized as a part of an IMAP account.
In the case of a POP account only the Inbox is downloaded (not synchronized) so basically you are asking for something that does not happen with the protocols you have chosen to use.
SMTP is only used to send mail, not synchronize it nor download it.
SO to summarize you need to start all over and add your email account as an imap mail account.

_____________________________________________________________________ Everything was working fine before I attempted to update my password. I was indeed receiving the emails in Thunderbird that I had sent from other clients. Now I'm not. There has to be a way to solve this issue without removing and reinstalling Thunderbird.
