Is it possible to change the default version of Google in Firefox?
I use Google as the default search engine in my Firefox browser,
However I live in the Republic of Ireland and I greatly dislike it when I am on Amazon.co.uk or some other site and when I want to convert the price of a product from Sterling to Euro what I would normally do is just highlight the price, right click and then click "Search Google for £X amount".
But because the default version of Google in Firefox is "Google.com" as opposed to the Irish version which is "Google.ie" that means that the Google search result shows the converted price in USD dollars and then each time I have to manually change the currency to Euro, Which becomes sort of a pain if you do it a lot on a weekly basis.
So Is there any possible way to change the default version of Google in Firefox from the U.S. domain to the Irish domain so I don't have to manually keep changing the currency?
Perhaps something in the "about:config" thing?

hi, you could install a search plugin for google.ie and then set it as your default engine: http://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?name=Google&category=12&country=IE

I'll give it a shot, Thanks for your help.
Another thought: maybe you can find an add-on that will add a currency converter to the right-click context menu?
