Do I need to delete both profile and account or are they the same thing?
I need to delete my personal details from a work computer which will be accessed by others but maintain my bookmarks etc on my home computer. Having left the job I'm having to ask someone to do it for me so can't double-check the outcome. On the work computer my colleague has disconnected from sync but I'm confused about what to do next. Presumably anything done now will only affect the work computer now it's been disconnected. Will deleting the account suffice or is it necessary to delete the proile as well? Thanks for any clarification anyone can offer.

The best thing to do for sync is to change the password in use.
Resetting the sync password, or changing its e-mail, will remove all data from the servers.
This is a security feature. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information

- I’ve forgotten, or don't have access to, my Firefox Account email address
As to the profile on your work computer, Have your friend locate your user profile and remove it. NOT your Firefox profile, the computers user profile
Thanks for your reply. If resetting my password removes all data won't I lose my bookmarks? I want to keep them on my home computer.
If my colleague deletes my Firefox profile and/or account will I lose all my bookmarks on my home computer?
Changing the sync passwords does nothing to your hard drive. Do this first. Then call your friend.
