I am requesting a new feature. For example I am doing some research work or maybe learning a new topic for example a language like JavaScript or Java.

So I opened few tabs. Now I don't want to close the tabs but if I leave them open they eat memory. I am also doing some work on Kubernetes and opened few tabs for it and don't want to close them. I am also working with Spring Framework and don't want to close the tabs for it. I want to keep the mongodb documentation open in few tabs. I don't want to close tabs for Google cloud management console and its different products and its documentation.

There are so many tabs open and memory usage is very high. After opening many tabs its difficult to identify tab from the tab bar as its name is hidden.

Can Firefox include a feature where I can separate tabs for one topic together and close them and reopen them later on.

Something like Profiles provided by Chrome. But with chrome issue is that I can not use same gmail account in new profile.

For example I open the Kubernetes Profile and all of its tabs are open now. I worked with it and than closed the profile and its tabs are gone, saving the memory.

Can I achieve it somehow if I am missing some functionality in firefox that I don't know.

Basically Its I want is some kind of container that contains the tabs and that container state can be restored after closing - open cycle..

Hi please check for a session manager (copy/paste) to search bar in the URL and see if something comes up as useful, as well, search using keyword tabs https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/

If nothing is found and Firefox Support Volunteers can not make changes to Firefox please : To submit suggestions for new or changed features, may I suggest: Feedback: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/FirefoxInput/ or https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/add-ons

If you just need the URLs to open in tabs and you don't need their "state" (i.e., their cookies and back/forward history), you could use the "Bookmark All Tabs" feature. Here's how:

right-click any tab in the window > Bookmark All Tabs

Firefox will prompt you to name the folder and allow changing the destination where the new folder of tabs will be saved.

To re-open that set of tabs, you can expand that folder from the Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar and use the item at the bottom: Open All in Tabs.

Naturally, that works best if you have a habit of opening a new window for each topic, or you take the time to manually edit the saved bookmarks to weed out pages that don't belong in the group.

There might be an extension which lets you select particular tabs to save.

Note that Bookmark All Tabs doesn't create multiple bookmarks that have the same URL, so if you have the same page in multiple tabs then only one bookmark is created. You would have to create copies yourself if you would want to open the same page in more than one tab.
