When I used Firefox 60 and 60.0.1 It had some flash games images distorted and would have a line going across the screen. Site with loading and display issues from title image, to load circle, and in game items.

As a test for 60.0.2 (not Nightly), can you try this?

  1. In the address bar, type about:config, press Enter and accept the warning/risk.
  2. In the Search field, type webgl.angle.force-warp or a part of it.
  3. Double-click the line to set this preference’s value to true (it should currently be false and not displayed in bold).
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the issue still occurs.

Also, What’s the name or URL of the game?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make the change effective.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

Would like to use the latest update if the display works for everything as 59.0.2 has no display issue. Also edited out the link as nobody looks to see if they get it to. removed check mark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings" removed check mark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" Restarted and no graphic update for Intel® G41 Express Chipset Driver Version 8.15.10.2302 Driver Date 2/11/2011 Availability Running at full power Status This device is working properly. Location PCI bus 0, device 2, function 0 When I went to load 2 sites with the issue it looks like the objects in question were trying to load vertically and horizontally at the same time causing the items to then be blurry

I refreshed and ran in safe mode 1 site needs webgl to load another site would not load.

Going to 60.0.1 to try these and then back to 59.0.2 where the display is still not working in case that wasn't clear.

I went through the documents and even removed and installed Firefox again and same issue. Java and Flash are up to date and even with addons or extensions enabled the games load fine in the previous version. No error messages or warnings are occurring. I am left with the problem resulting from a bug in the current version to 60.

No modern browser uses Java any longer. Java Script is handled by the browser.

Please try from a dos command prompt right clicked to run as Administrator SFC /SCANNOW ( SFC<space>/SCANNOW ) reboot when finished.

I took a screenshot that shows a good idea of what's happening https://screenshots.firefox.com/4LWJGeJJm1fsFp1a/www.nutaku.net sfc found no integrity violations.

Hi, I think you are starting to run above your weight is the problem as that Video Chip set was designed for Win XP

Unless you have inspected that page code with the Element Inspector or by viewing the source code. It looks more like video graphics tearing. Which means the that you have corrupted drivers or the chip can not do any better than it is doing.

Please run below and remove all of Flash. https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Reinstall : Flash Player Version: 29.0.0.171 Current Version

Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Have this inspect your Video Chip Drivers for something :

Move to the the Extended Support Release : Firefox ESR does not come with the latest features but it has the latest security and stability fixes.

Turn back on Hardware Acceleration Support

Optimize Windows 7

Pay attention to Change the size of virtual memory : System - -> Advanced System Settings --> System Properties - -> Advanced Tab - -> Change Virtual Memory - -> Custom Size - -> ENTER Recommended MAX Size in both MIN and MAX boxes - -> Set - -> Apply-- > Reboot

Scan with https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

So if does not happen on any other site it maybe the site that is causing the issue for your older system and it is time to move on from it.

Report back on all of the above please.

There was code change in version 60 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/60.0/releasenotes/ Which some add-ons and usserChrome were affected.

As to why effects you. Well will go back to the chip was designed for XP and you are now pushing your limit. Move to the Extended Support Release as suggested earlier : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/switch-to-firefox-extended-support-release-esr

Did you use this to check if there was any drivers for you  ??? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

I already installed the ESR before the update for 60.0.2 and have the Intel drivers installed with no updates. It seems version 59 is the last releases I can use without errors. The chip came with windows vista installed before upgrading to windows 7 and the drivers to install were on the Intel CD

Try installing the 8.15.10.2993 version found at Intel - be sure to select Win 7 64-bit, and select the .2869 version to find it (see the yellow top bar), or use that one. Note that you may need to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox anyway to prevent certain issues for this chipset (albeit other ones than yours).

Are you sure your issue occurs for Flash games only, or also non-Flash (as you wrote you need WebGL)?

If the issue occurs for non-Flash games too, I’d also be interested in this bug that started to occur in FF 60 and was just closed as WFM as it is no longer reproducable, but which affected at least one game until the game itself got updated.

Please report back about improvements as well as thoughts on the bug.

Note: Flash Player has just updated.

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

"Try installing the 8.15.10.2993 version found at Intel - be sure to select Win 7 64-bit, and select the .2869" minimum requirements not met Some of the game sites run on webgl Installed active x plugin and not in list on restart, it does show under windows installed programs installed flash 30 latest video driver installed. I forgot about nightly and bugzilla as I used it before, that does seem to be the same issue though even if just 1 app.

So, you installed the 8.15.10.2869 or 8.15.10.2993 driver and the issue persists? What’s with the minimum requirements?

Even 1 game with issues would be enough, as long as it’s not a Flash game so be sure of that. Can you post a screenshot of your issue?

In order to be sure it starts in Firefox 60 and possibly after updating the driver, you can also revert to version 59, test, and then reinstall 60. You won’t lose any settings - be sure to set Firefox to not update automatically before downgrading.
