when marking mails as not junk, they are migrated to my inbox, however, title is correctly migrated, content is from another email

in mozilla thunderbird, I check the junk folder to mark not junk. These emails are then put in the Inbox. However, often the title and content of these emails do not match, thunderbird seems to break the link between title and content, showing content of other emails under the migrated titles.

What you see is managed by an index file, and this can get out of step with the actual message store. I would:

  1. back-up my profile (just in case)
  2. open the Inbox, right-click, select Properties then Repair Folder.

This will rebuild the index file. It may delete messages, if the Inbox is corrupted. Hence the back-up.

thank you for your help, when the problem occurs again, I will try your method. For now, I deleted all incorrect mails so I can not confirm if your method works.

this week, the problem occured again, I did follow your instructions and every mail got it's proper content again, thanks for the advice
