I called for more help. Have you asked Avast about this?

Ma non è un componente aggiuntivo quindi?

Some users are getting a system add-on named "Telemetry Coverage" with a file or folder name like telemetry-coverage-bug1487578@mozilla.org (I don't have it so I can't confirm).

System extensions usually create an preference you can use to disable them. For this one, look for:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste opt and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the toolkit.telemetry.coverage.opt-out preference to switch the value from false to true

Do you have that preference?

Maybe "Telemetry Coverage" was already removed.

Could you check the "Caratteristiche di Firefox" table on the "Informazioni per la risoluzione dei problemi" page:

Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues

Usually you will see about 10 items. Is "Telemetry Coverage" listed there?

I don't think you have to remove it. That was Avast's opinion.

It is a Firefox extension created by Mozilla to gather data on whether users are turning off "telemetry" (the Health Report article mentioned earlier). There was more information about it in the blog post: https://blog.mozilla.org/data/2018/08/20/effectively-measuring-search-in-firefox/

Ok, chiaro. Quindi posso ignorarla?

Best is to leave it for now since this is a system component from Mozilla and contact Avast about this issue to see whether they will fix this because Mozilla probably already contacted them.
