Thunderbird crashes on start after it was updated today (21.03.2019) to Version 60.6.0. My OS is Windows 7. I tried using safe mode for Thunderbird and Windows but nothings helps.

Sounds definately an issue with TB. Just in case something did not go all as according to plan with the update, could you try the following and report back on results. Download from Thunderbird.net and run. You do not need to uninstall.

Thank you, this worked. Indeed, I thought, that I had to uninstall first and to backup my profile and everything.
