After my Windows 10 desktop froze (Thunderbird was open) I restarted my laptop. After opening Thunderbird most emails are going directly to the Trash folder. Some filter settings work and others don't. No settings were changed. Everything appears to be up-to-date. Any idea what I can check to resolve this? Version 68.3.1 Build ID 20191215232630

It turns out to be a filter created who knows how many years ago to handle junk emails with, at the time, future dates. The filter was set to send anything with "future dates" greater than 01/01/2020. I figured it out by looking at the filter log. If you don't have that enabled, you should. It could turn out to be a useful tool.

Sorry, I should have changed the subject. As I was typing I received an email that should have been filtered to another folder but it went into Trash instead.
